NautilusTrader Rust Python Trading Engine

NautilusTrader is a production-grade trading engine built on a Rust core for speed and a Python control plane for strategy logic. It supports multi-asset and multi-venue systems using modular adapters for any REST or WebSocket feed. The current stable release targets Rust 1.99.1 and Python 3.13 through 3.15 on Linux, macOS, and Windows.

This is worth looking at if you need deterministic event-driven simulation that runs identical code in live environments. The main catch is that live execution still introduces venue-specific timing and reconciliation behaviors that simulations cannot perfectly reproduce. It is not a plug-and-play solution for casual backtesting as it requires understanding the underlying message bus and cache architecture.
